Mahindra & Mahindra, one of India’s leading automakers, recently introduced its first C-segment electric UV, the XUV 400 cars. The development came after 2022 when the world witnessed a significant surge in the Electric Vehicle realm. With the advent of this recent launch, it appears that 2023 is going to have a compound effect on the respective industry.
Undoubtedly, the launch of the electric SUV brings a wave of hope and curiosity about its features among the supporters of electric vehicles. Hence, here are the top features of the car that make it a lot more unique from its counterparts.
Features of the new launch
1. Available in 2 variants – The XUV 400 showcased on world EV day, 2022 is finally available from 23 January 2023 in two variants: XUV 400 EC and XUV 400 EL powered by 34.5kwh and 39.4kwh batteries respectively.
2. The five color options – If you are planning to buy the vehicle soon, you can go for either of the five colors – Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, and Infinity Blue. Not to forget, all the colors are available in a dual tone of satin copper.
3. Warranty – The SUV comes with 3 years warranty however the company gives a total of 8 years warranty for its battery and motor individually.
4. The speed factor – The SUV can run at a speed of 0 to 100 kph in just 8.3 seconds. However, It can achieve a maximum speed of 150 kph. It will be not an exaggeration to state that this will be one of the SUVs with the longest range in the EV sector.
5. Spaciousness – No matter how environmentally friendly and fast your vehicle is, comfort factors always come first. The good thing is that the car is everything a comfort seeker looks for. With a length of 4200 mm and a wheelbase of 2600 mm, the car offers enough leg space and cabin space for its riders.
6. Well designed – Is it stylish? Or is it only an environmentally friendly car good for driving fast? Well, it is the best of both worlds, be it style or utility. The cool copper twin peak logo and the trendy color options give a sleek touch and stylish look the new generation longs for.
7. Affordability – As we all assume, electric cars are a bit costly. However, Mahindra broke this myth with the new SUV pricing. Surprisingly, you can buy the car at a nominal cost of Rupees 15.99 lakhs or approximately $19,500. However, this pricing is valid for the first 5000 purchases only.
You can apply for the Mahindra EVs booking process from 26th January 2023 onwards and expect the delivery of XUV400 EL and XUV400 EC from March 2023 and the upcoming Diwali festival respectively.
As far as the test drive is concerned, the first phase of the service will take place in 34 cities including Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur, Mumbai MMR, Nasik, Verna (Goa), Pune, Nagpur, Bangalore, Chennai, Trivandrum, Cochin, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Delhi NCT, Kolkata, and Dehradun.
